Preparing for a Vedic Astrology Reading
So you’ve finally found a Vedic astrologer you are happy with, you’ve decided on the reading you want and you’ve even organized how the reading will be recorded. Now what? With the amount of information you are expecting to gain, not to mention the significant cost this is setting you back, you are likely to have concerns about what YOU should be doing. Should you just be listening? Should you prepare questions? To make the most out of your reading and your time with the astrologer, check out some of our suggestions below:

Double check on how the reading will be recorded, if your astrologer will be providing this, or if you will be bringing along a tape recorder or a friend to transcribe.

Prepare a list of questions, noting down specific aspects of your life you want covered in this reading. It would be best to inform the astrologer of this in advance, so he is prepared.

Keep your mind clear when preparing specific questions, and formulate it in a concise sentence, as short as possible, and written down. Details can be integrated into following questions.

A clear question will get a clear answer. Resist the urge to ask ambiguous or multiple choice questions. Be straightforward and honest, asking one question at a time, and gracefully accept the answers you are given. Keep your mind clear until you come to the next question.

Bring along a notepad and pen in case of any questions or points that may come to you during the reading, to be asked at the end, so as not to distract the astrologer as he speaks. Losing his train of thought can be disruptive to the reading.

Be totally honest with the astrologer, and offer feedback on how you feel the reading is going. If he makes a mistake, correct him so he can adjust his calculations. Don’t try to play games or test the astrologer, this will only have a negative effect on the reading and with the astrologer, if you wish to pursue a long-term relationship with him.
